MYStartup, in collaboration with the Malaysian-based startup accelerator Growth Charger, has handpicked 26 promising startups out of 136 applicants from across Malaysia for the MYStartup Pre-Accelerator Cohort 3 Programme. This tailored four-month program aims to propel these startups towards achieving product-market fit and fostering growth within the Malaysian startup landscape.
Spanning diverse sectors such as green technology, smart living, hospitality, and digitalization (including data solutions, industrial IoT, and robotics), these selected startups represent the cream of the crop. This rigorous selection process follows the success of previous MYStartup cohorts, which saw notable companies like Materials In Works, Sayur Kita School, Luwjistik, Axcyn, and Certiify make significant strides forward.
Norman Matthieu Vanhaecke, Group CEO of Cradle, emphasized the critical role of entrepreneurs, particularly Small & Medium enterprises, which comprise the majority of businesses in Malaysia and contribute significantly to the workforce.
“We are excited to witness the growth of Malaysian technology startups through this program,” Vanhaecke said. “As Malaysia aims to establish itself as a leading player in Southeast Asia’s technology and innovation sector, initiatives like MYStartup are instrumental in realizing the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation’s vision for the country to become one of the top 20 global startup ecosystems by 2030.”
