How to Recover a Banned WhatsApp Account

If your WhatsApp account has been banned, don’t panic. Quick and effective solutions are available to help you regain access.

Solution 1: Request through the app #

For immediate action, you may restore access to your WhatsApp account via the mobile app. You have to:

  1. Download an official WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business on your phone.
  2. Open the app using the blocked account and press “Request a review”.
  3. Generate a message according to Sample message, substituting your data.
  4. Wait for the reply from WhatsApp. It usually takes around 24 hours.

Sample Message

“Dear WhatsApp Support,

I am writing to address the recent ban placed on my WhatsApp Business account associated with the number (+60……..).

The number is used in the WhatsApp Business by our company to communicate with customers.

I request your assistance in unblocking it.

Thank you.”

Solution 2: Request via the form on the website #

Another effective route, you may restore access to your WhatsApp account leaving a request on the website. You have to:

  1. Go to https://www.whatsapp.com/contact/?subject=messenger
  2. Specify your phone number, select a country code out of the dropdown list.
  3. Fill in the mailbox field.
  4. Select WhatsApp for computers
  5. Make the message title with the following content: “I kindly ask you to unblock number (+60……..)”
  6. Generate a message according to Sample message, substituting your data.
  7. Wait for the reply from WhatsApp.

Sample Message

“Dear WhatsApp Support,

I am writing to address the recent ban placed on my WhatsApp Business account associated with the number (+60……..).

The number is used in the WhatsApp Business by our company to communicate with customers.

I request your assistance in unblocking it.

Thank you.”

Solution 3: Message to email (Not Longer Supported) #

From the 10th of August on, WhatsApp has stopped supporting requests to unblock through the email. Now, it’s recommended to do it through the app.

How often you can request for a ban removal #

Unblocking can be requested only once, then you have to wait for a response from WhatsApp. If your number is blocked several times in a row, then you need to take a break for several days. In case you were refused to remove the ban, you are advised to repeat the request no earlier than in a month.

In what cases the removal of the ban is denied #

The refusal to remove the ban most often comes due to users’ complaints about your account or when certain methods are used excessively without emulating user actions (for example, constantly checking for WhatsApp availability without sending messages).

If you don’t receive a message on the accepted request #

We have noticed that when sending unblock requests using mailboxes in the RU zone, popular mail services, most often no response letters from WhatsApp are received. In this case, try sending the request using another mailbox or change the domain name of the mailbox zone.

Recovering your banned WhatsApp account is often possible. Stay calm, reach out to WhatsApp, and use these solutions, and be patient while waiting for a response from the WhatsApp team.
